Why massage can reduce stress


When the masseuse rotates the body with his fingers, the receptors on the skin transmit the received signals to the brain, which then increases the "happiness hormones" in the body and reduces the stress hormones that cause stress and pain.

There are four "happiness hormones" in humans, and massage is related to three of them: dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin. Regular massage can increase the levels of serotonin and dopamine, reduce the levels of cortisol, and play a role in fighting stress and regulating emotions.
